Report: Rochelle spent $9,719 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Rochelle Community Consolidated School District 231 is up 14.1 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Ogle County school district spent $8,516 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,719 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1738 to 1597.

Rochelle's spending in 2017-18 was 27.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
