Report: Orangeville spent $11,953 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Orangeville Community Unit School District 203 is up 19.3 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Stephenson County school district spent $10,023 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,953 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 390 to 329.

Orangeville's spending in 2017-18 was 10.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
