Report: Morrison spent $10,019 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Morrison Community Unit School District 6 is up 11.7 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Whiteside County school district spent $8,971 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,019 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1099 to 1007.

Morrison's spending in 2017-18 was 24.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
