Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Whiteside County?

There were 17 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Whiteside County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by NW Illinois News.

The data shows that 14 men and three women were released in Whiteside County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 32. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 64-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Roger L. Jones. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2013 when he was 29 years old. He is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Whiteside County municipality.
