Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Stephenson County?

There were 22 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Stephenson County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by NW Illinois News.

The data shows that 18 men and four women were released in Stephenson County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 68-year-old woman sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Peter Jones. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2013 when he was 25 years old. He is now 31.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Stephenson County municipality.
