State Representative Bradley J. Fritts has been actively engaging with constituents in the 74th District as part of his 2025 Summer Tour. The tour includes events such as Coffee & Conversation and Town Hall meetings, providing opportunities for dialogue on how he can better serve the community.

Fritts recently joined a lawsuit challenging the Democratic Party's handling of SB 328, citing a violation of the Illinois Constitution’s Three Reading Rule. "The Illinois Constitution requires every bill to be read on three separate days in each chamber," Fritts stated. He criticized Democrats for bypassing this requirement, arguing that it compromises transparency and accountability. If enacted, SB 328 would allow lawsuits against companies registered in Illinois regardless of their connection to the state, potentially increasing costs and burdening courts.

In addition to political engagements, Fritts highlighted Carquest Auto Parts as June's Local Business Highlight. The family-owned business is recognized for its customer service and community involvement, including support for local organizations like Cub Scouts and Al Morrison Baseball.

Upcoming events in July include Coffee & Conversation sessions and Town Halls at various locations within the district. Fritts also mentioned recent community outreach activities such as attending a Senior Fair hosted by the Lee County Council on Aging and visiting Freeport’s new water treatment facility.

For those interested in cultural experiences, Fritts offers a free museum pass through his office, allowing admission to participating museums for up to four people.

Fritts encourages residents to utilize his Community Calendar for information on upcoming local events while adhering to state ethics laws regarding event postings.
