Rome Community Consolidated School District 2 Board of Education met June 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. The Rome Board of Education Special Meeting of June 4, 2019, was called to order by President McKee with the roll call at 12:30 p.m.

2. Roll Call: 

John Burkett Absent                       Wes Schumm: Present

Steve Down: Present                      Kelly Tinsley: Absent

Michael Kroeschen: Present           Aaron Woodrome: Absent

Amanda McKee: Present

Also in attendance were Superintendent Erik Estill and Recording Secretary Mary Beth Voss.

3. Recognition and Comments from Employees and Public

None.

4. A motion was made by Steve Down and seconded by Wes Schumm to adjourn to closed session to

consider a new contract with the Rome Education Association.

The motion was approved. Time: 12:32 p.m.

A motion was made by Michael Kroeschen and seconded by Wes Schumm to return to open session.

The motion was approved. Time: 12:50 p.m.

A motion was made by Michael Kroeschen and seconded by Steve Down to approve the Teachers’ Contract between the Rome Board of Education and the Rome Education Association for the 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022 school years, as presented.

Vote: Michael Kroeschen: Yes           Steve Down: Yes

         Wes Schumm: Yes                   Kelly Tinsley: Absent

         John Burkett: Absent               Amanda McKee: Yes

Aaron Woodrome: Absent

A motion was made by Steve Down and seconded by Michael Kroeschen to adjourn the meeting.

The motion was approved. Time: 12:51 p.m.
