Commissioner Kurt Wilson moved to approve the February 11, 2020 minutes, Seconded by Commissioner Melanie Cozzi.

Commissioner Tim Krug moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-2 Maintenance Under the Illinois Highway Code for Engineering to be performed by Willett Hofmann & Assoc., Seconded by Commissioner Kurt Wilson.

Discussion: This is a yearly Resolution that needs passed for seal coating various Streets each year.

Roll Call: Cozzi, Krug, Schuster, Wilson, Williams. No Nays.

Commissioner Terry Schuster moved to approve Electric Bids/Contracts for the City Pumping & Street Lighting Accounts, Seconded by Commissioner Melanie Cozzi.

Discussion: Best rates in years according to Mike Mudge of Rock River Energy. Will save about eight thousand dollars on pumping and two thousand on Street Lighting a year.

Roll Call: Cozzi, Krug, Schuster, Wilson, Williams. No Nays.

Chief DeHaan handed out an Ordinance to amend the Parking Section in the Codebook. Would add language for parking at the School and address electric car parking. Mayor Williams asked Attorney Chadwick if he would review the Ordinance before the next meeting. Chief DeHaan will also be meeting with School Superintendent Mahoney to discuss changing the Intergovernmental Agreement.

Commissioner Schuster announced that the City will be receiving more funds from the State of Illinois for Use Tax, Income Tax, and Motor Fuel Tax. They will total about one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars. Will also be receiving a new Cannabis Tax of about three thousand a year, this is to be used for Drug Enforcement.

Commissioner Melanie Cozzi handed out a Census Timeline Sheet as to when things will be taking place. Need to share the information with Citizens. Will put on website, social media, and newspaper. Citizens can go to the Rock River Center Tuesday and Thursdays to get help with filling out the paperwork. Mayor Williams reminded everyone it is very important that everyone gets counted. The money received from the State of Illinois for various taxes is based on population number.

Mayor Williams announced that the City of Oregon received the Favorite Small-Town award from Sauk Valley Media. He will get more information and bring to the next Council meeting.

Commissioner Kurt Wilson moved to adjourn the meeting, Seconded by Commissioner Terry Schuster.
