Analysis: Dixon pays $7.13 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Dixon Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.5 percent of the $995,314 the Dixon Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.13 for every $1 from pension members, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Dixon contributed $871,125 to the fund, which saw a $194,832 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $122,115, or 12.3 percent, in 2018. Another $2,074 came from other unspecified sources.
