City of Morrison Historic Preservation Commission met July 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the commission:

Commission member Moore called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Executive Secretary Barb King recorded the minutes.

Commission Members present were Sharon Moore, Lynn Kenady and Jon Gentz. Charidy Drawz and Bill Shirk were absent.

Other City Officials present were Public Works Director Matlack.

Commission member Kenady made a motion to approve the May 5, 2020 meeting minutes as presented; seconded by commission member Moore. The minutes were approved by unanimous consent.

Unfinished Business

A Request to Participate/Reimbursement was submitted by Shane & Wendy Gallentine for the property located at 113/115 W Main Street (old KJ's building). A COA was issued to the Gallentine's on March 3, 2020 for the replacement of four windows and two exterior doors across the north elevation of the first floor on both structures. When one of the doors arrived, the glass was broken. Therefore, a replacement door needed to be sent. This caused the Request for Reimbursement to be delayed, carrying the request over into the current fiscal year. Since there weren't any requests for funds last year, commission member Kenady made a motion to give Shane &.Wendy the entire $5,000.00 towards the replacement of the widows and doors at 113/115 W Main Street; seconded by commission member Moore. On a voice vote, the motion carried. ·

New Business

None.

Other Considerations

The next regularly scheduled meeting will be August 4, 2020@ 5:00 p.m.

At approximately 5:15 p.m. commission member Kenady moved to adjourn the meeting and a second was recognized. On a voice vote the motion carried.
