Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Jo Daviess County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Jo Daviess County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by NW Illinois News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Jo Daviess County were men. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Brandon E. Switzer. He was convicted of a property crime in 2017 when he was 30 years old. He is now 33.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each Jo Daviess County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
