Illinois Department of Agriculture promotes agrichemical container recycling program statewide

The Illinois Department of Agriculture is urging farmers and agrichemical facilities to participate in a free agrichemical container recycling program. The initiative, which begins this week and extends into August, involves collection sites across the state that will recycle containers to produce shipping pallets.

Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie highlights available options for residents in northwest Illinois:

On August 4th, in DeKalb County, collections will be held at Helena Agri Enterprises located at 4440 IL-72, Kirkland, IL 60146. Gary Hopkins can be contacted at (815) 522-3251 for more information.

In Winnebago County on August 5th, Conserv FS, Inc. will host a collection event at 7222 Cunningham Road, Rockford, IL 61102. Mike Webb is available for inquiries at (815) 703-4612.

Stephenson County's collection takes place on August 6th in the morning at Pearl City Elevator, Inc., situated at 5984 IL-75, Dakota, IL 61018. Lucas Hagemann can be reached at (815) 541-8642.

Later on August 6th in Carroll County, Carroll Srv Co., located at 2725 Otter Creek Dr., Milledgeville, IL 61051 will hold its collection event. Riley Warnken can provide additional details and can be contacted at (815) 225-7101.
