City of Dixon City Council met Sept. 22.

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Arellano at 8:01am.
ROLL CALL
Councilman Marshall, Oros, Venier, Considine, and Mayor Arellano answered roll call.

DISCUSSION
Dr. Mandrell, Vice President of Academics and Student Services at SVCC introduced the meeting and spoke about the college. Finance Director Fredericks gave a presentation Finance Overview and discussion ensued throughout the presentation. Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director Heckman presented on the airport, riverfront, wastewater treatment plant, cemetery/public property, water department and the street department. Discussion ensued throughout the presentation. City Manager Langloss presented on Major Projects Update, city team, partnerships, money savings on inhouse work, Viaduct Point, Gateway project, TIF’s and discussion ensued throughout the presentation.

DISCUSSION
Kevin Marx from LCIDA presented on Solar Project Overview, solar projects in the works and the involvement of LCIDA, discussion ensued. City Manager Langloss continued his presentation including residential development and discussion ensued. Mayor Arellano presented on residential growth and annexations, discussion ensued throughout presentation. Dr. Mandrell gave a closing presentation for items to think about for the next meeting and what the top priorities will be moving forward. Discussion ensued.
ADJOURMENT
Councilman Marshall moved that the Special Council Meeting of Tuesday, September 22, 2020 be adjourned to meet in Special Session on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 8:00am at Sauk Valley Community College. Seconded by Councilman Venier. Voting Yea: Councilman Marshall, Oros, Venier, Considine, and Mayor Arellano. Voting Nay: None. Motion Carried
The meeting adjourned at 11:02am.
