Report: Scales Mound School District spent $16,787 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Scales Mound Community Unit School District 211 was down 0.9 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Jo Daviess County school district spent $16,934 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,787 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 232 to 267 students over the same period.

Scales Mound's spending in 2019-20 was 15.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
