Report: Eswood School District spent $15,514 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Eswood Community Consolidated School District 269 was up 16.7 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Ogle County school district spent $13,290 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,514 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 88 to 74 students over the same period.

Eswood's spending in 2019-20 was 7.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
