Report: Dixon School District spent $10,878 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Dixon Unit School District 170 was up 14.4 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lee County school district spent $9,510 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,878 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,748 to 2,588 students over the same period.

Dixon's spending in 2019-20 was 24.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
