Report: Ashton Franklin Center School District spent $12,298 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Ashton Franklin Center Community Unit School District 275 was up 7 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lee County school district spent $11,491 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,298 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 509 to 501 students over the same period.

Ashton Franklin Center's spending in 2019-20 was 15.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
