Report: Polo School District spent $10,680 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Polo Community Unit School District 222 was up 3.1 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Ogle County school district spent $10,361 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,680 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 599 to 554 students over the same period.

Polo's spending in 2019-20 was 26.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
