State Rep. Andrew S. Chesney (R-Freeport) is taking his work on the road as he recently announced mobile office hours to meet constituents closer to their homes.
“Rep. Andrew Chesney is hosting mobile office hours in October to provide constituents with additional opportunities to ask questions about office state issues, voice concerns, and meet their State Representative,” according to a release. Office hours will be open to all residents of the 89th District and they can drop by with no appointment, it said.
Chesney’s stops include a visit to Forreston from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Forreston Public Library, which is at 204 1st. Ave.
He will then visit Mt. Morris from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Mt. Morris Village Hall at 105 W. Lincoln Street.
Chesney frequently offers mobile office hours so constituents from across the district have easier access to him. Chesney also went on the road in September, when he stopped at Pecatonica, Winnebago, and Durand.
Chesney has represented the 89th District since Dec. 2018, his website says. He has served as an elected member of the Freeport City Council and has been a past board member of the Regional Access Mobilization Project (RAMP)—an organization that provides support services and advocacy for people with disabilities. He is also a former mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
