House Minority Leader Tony McCombie chose Saporito’s Pizza as the first business to be highlighted in her program aimed at promoting the local business community in northwest Illinois. Presenting the restaurant with a certificate of recognition, McCombie described Saporito’s as a place where one can "taste Italy in downtown Lena," offering homemade pizzas, pastas, and signature dishes.
In her own words, McCombie expressed her satisfaction with the choice, stating, "This is a great local spot with a fantastic menu and even better service—I am pleased that folks around the 89th are helping me support our local economy with our business spotlight outreach."
The initiative is part of an ongoing effort by McCombie to showcase deserving local businesses, with a call for constituents in the 89th District to nominate establishments for recognition.
