City of Fulton City Council met Aug. 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to order the Council meeting for the City of Fulton.

4. Swearing in of Patrol Officer Steve Boonstra and Patrol Officer Matt Munson.

Alderperson Mask will give an update on the Fidelity-Drives Historic Building Restoration Project: brief history; current status; next phase and future plans by members of the DHB Project. (page 4)

Approve Treasurer’s Report as of June 20, 2024. (pages 19-26)

9. Motion to Approve Tori Wade, City Clerk, and Aley Hamling, Business Manager-in-Training/Deputy Clerk, to attend the MCI Training Institute in Bloomington, IL, held October 6 – 11, 2024. The cost for this training is approximately $1500.00 each for registration, hotel, meals, and mileage.

10. Motion to Approve Street Bid from Porter Brothers. (includes 19th Avenue from 4th Street to 9th Street and 13th Street by High School) (Page 27)

Committee of the Whole – Discussion

Discussion regarding the Drives Building.

Discussion regarding the total cost of the new Council Chambers building at City Hall and the total cost of the 10th Avenue Park (lighting included).

Discussion on the Simple Grants Comprehensive Grant Strategy.
