These details include their names, titles, years of appointment, term lengths (whether 2 or 4 years), and term expiry dates.
The request has been made under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. We have expressed our preference for receiving this information in an electronic format for ease of access and analysis.
As a media organization dedicated to gathering and reporting news to the public, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
