On December 14, 2024, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie called on residents of Illinois to reflect and honor veterans on Wreaths Across America Day. The day is marked by the placement of thousands of wreaths at veterans' graves nationwide as a tribute to those who have served.

“It’s important we come together to honor this meaningful day: the legacy of our veterans forever lives on,” stated Leader McCombie.
