Today marks the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day dedicated to reflecting on the contributions and vision of Dr. King towards equality, justice, and peace in the nation and the world.

House Minority Leader Tony McCombie emphasized the importance of continuing Dr. King's work beyond this singular day. "As we think back on his work, we continue to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. This is one singular day dedicated to him, but beyond that, we must ensure his work lives on through our kindness and actions towards others," McCombie stated.
