Jo Daviess County taxpayers paid the 40th largest sum in sales taxes in November 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Jo Daviess County residents paid $476,452 in sales taxes during November 2024.

Jo Daviess County ranked 42nd in the Prairie State the month before, with $422,712 spent in sales taxes.

The County School Facility Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Jo Daviess County residents in November 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
