In a collaborative effort with Chicago's renowned museums, the Museums in the Park Constituent Education Resource Card acts as an educational entry into various cultural institutions for constituents of the 89th District. These include museums, zoos, gardens, a planetarium, and an aquarium.
The initiative provides guests with valuable opportunities to explore arts, sciences, nature, and culture. It allows cardholders to experience firsthand the contributions of Chicago’s museums to Illinois's cultural landscape.
The program allows constituents to use the card to receive free general admission for the cardholder and three additional guests at participating institutions.
House Minority Leader Tony McCombie encourages families in the area to benefit from this resource, stating, "I encourage area families to take advantage of this great resource and the opportunity to see all the museums the city of Chicago has to offer."
Families wishing to use the card should complete a request form, specifying their desired visit date to one of the participating venues.
