Illinois House honors Memorial Day amid legislative session

Today, the Illinois House of Representatives paused to honor Memorial Day. This observance came as lawmakers entered the final week of their spring session.

House Minority Leader Tony McCombie reflected on the significance of the day. "As we begin what will be challenging last week of spring session, it was a great reminder of all those who sacrificed so we could live in freedom," said McCombie. "We will never forget!"

The commemoration served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by many for the nation's freedom.
