House Minority Leader Tony McCombie attended the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting today. She was joined at the event by other lawmakers, including State Representative Jeff Keicher (DeKalb). The event brought together hundreds of members from Chicagoland businesses, associations, as well as state and local elected officials.
The Illinois House of Representatives recently passed a new state budget, which includes $746.5 million in tax increases and pay raises for politicians. The budget does not introduce reforms to reduce the cost of living for families or seniors on fixed incomes. Representative Tony McCombie voted against the budget, citing concerns over its fiscal impact.
