Report: Scales Mound spent $16,448 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Scales Mound Community Unit School District 211 is up 14.7 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Jo Daviess County school district spent $14,334 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $16,448 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 240 to 253.

Scales Mound's spending in 2017-18 was 23.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
