Report: Rochelle School District spent $10,623 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rochelle Community Consolidated School District 231 was up 16.4 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Ogle County school district spent $9,126 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,623 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,697 to 1,623 students over the same period.

Rochelle's spending in 2019-20 was 26.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
