State Representative Bradley J. Fritts has been actively engaging with the community through various events and initiatives. Recently, he toured Rooted for Good, previously known as DeKalb County Community Gardens, to learn more about their mission to combat food insecurity in the area.
Fritts attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for True Skin Esthetics in Dixon and expressed enthusiasm about witnessing local businesses thrive. He also spent a day as principal at Leland CUSD 1, interacting with students from kindergarten through 12th grade and observing educators' efforts in shaping future generations.
During the State and Local Government Day at the Sauk Valley Community Leadership Program, Fritts spoke with community leaders and high school students about government operations. He also visited Earlville High School's civics class to discuss his role as a State Representative and emphasized civic engagement's importance. A similar visit took place at Paw Paw Junior High, where he addressed an eighth-grade civics class.
Additionally, Fritts congratulated Moore Tires on opening a new location in Rock Falls and acknowledged its significance for local business growth. His staff attended Morrison Community Hospital's groundbreaking ceremony for a $15 million expansion project aimed at enhancing healthcare access.
In Sterling, his office participated in the Sights & Sounds Downtown Christmas Walk event to foster community spirit during the holiday season.
To further support community involvement, Fritts introduced a 'Community Calendar' on his official website. This tool aims to consolidate upcoming events for residents of District 74. He encourages submissions of community events while adhering to state ethics laws that restrict certain types of listings.
For ongoing updates about his legislative activities and other district-related news, Fritts invites constituents to visit his website or follow him on Facebook.
